The
Houston Journal of International Law is a student organization
at the University of Houston Law Center that publishes three
high quality issues each year. The Journal assembles articles
written by practicing professionals, educators, and students
on a broad range of topics in international and comparative
law, to include international business, finance, torts, crime,
and human rights. HJIL not only serves the local, national,
and international legal communities through its publications,
but also provides its members with an opportunity to perfect
their research, writing, and organizational skills.
The
Journal is a partially endowed publication in its twenty-seventh
year of publication. The Journal's subscription base covers
six continents and is found in libraries in the United States,
Mexico, Canada, Central and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa
and Australia. The Journal is also received by the Supreme
Court and many circuit court libraries. An active advisory
board made up of noted professionals, judges, and educators
provides immeasurable support for the Journal.
